CD wallets: perfect for traveling with your music collection

If you never travel, it may not be important to have a case to carry your CDs in. However, if you’ve ever tried to travel with an extensive music collection that is still in the jewel cases, you know that while it is not impossible, it is certainly difficult to travel that way. CD wallets make traveling with CDs much easier by providing a compact and easy to carry piece of CD storage. CD wallets come in many different sizes, though it’s usually a good idea to find a wallet that has a capacity size similar to the size of your CD collection, and then go with the next size up. Doing this will make sure that you have room for your CD collection to grow quite a bit before you need to buy a new CD wallet.

Another important thing to remember is that most CD wallet capacity numbers are listed by the number of CDs that you can put in the wallet without liner notes. As a result, if you plan on bringing your liner notes with you, you should count on fitting in half the listed number of CDs. However, some CD wallets list both the capacity with liner notes and the capacity without them. Finally, some wallets also come with handles, which is helpful if you end up buying a larger size of CD wallet as they can sometimes be unwieldy to carry.
