Buying childrens luggage for all occasions

One might think that kids have no use for luggage, but the childrens luggage market has grown over the years as children seem to carry more and more weight. For example, when kids go to school they seem to have to carry around an awful lot more in the way of books than, say, 15 years ago, and so they should have special childrens luggage to help them to do so.

There are many differences between childrens luggage and the adult equivalents, and not just the size. Yes, the bags tend to be smaller, that is only natural, but also they are designed differently. For example, backpacks have the supports laid out slightly differently, because protecting children's backs has different requirements than for adults.

Part of the problem is that children are usually still growing, and so those items of childrens luggage which they will be required to carry every day should probably reflect this by using padding in particularly sensitive areas.

In fact if the childrens luggage that you are shopping for is for everyday use, then you should probably even shy away from backpacks on the grounds that, until their teens, carrying one each day could harm them.

Finally, it is worth noting that childrens luggage is more sensitive to fashion than even adults. Yes, as adults we all like a nice piece of designer luggage, but if our kids turn up at school, or go on an organized trip with other kids, and they have the wrong cartoon theme on their bags, the parents will be in serious trouble.
