Discover the
coin purse
You may have run into the following problem yourself – what do
you do if your coins are building up in your pocket, making it
bulge, but your wallet only has a tiny coin compartment. Most
wallet manufacturers do not seem to understand that people will
generally have more coins than notes, and so they need a good
sized coin compartment. On the other hand, they are now
producing a little accessory called the coin purse, which does
exactly what the name implies. It is a little purse for storing
coins, and as an accessory, a coin purse is a very good idea.
Even better are the dual use versions. A coin purse which has a
space for your cell phone, made possible only because cell
phones are now small enough not to bulge too much. There are
also versions which have a little fob for your keys on the
opposite side of the pouch, a practical twist to the idea which
means that you can keep your keys and coins close to hand all
the time.
Of course, they will not replace your wallet, after all, a coin
purse can only hold so much, but they are nonetheless a great
invention which also make great gifts. All the top wallet
designers have a coin purse somewhere in their range, and they
start with little leather or plastic pouches, with a zipper,
right up to embossed luxury fabric substitute wallets.
It is worth getting a good quality coin purse, because it will
take a beating – after all it will contain little pieces of
metal, and be thrown around in a handbag or pocket so it needs
to be tough.
