Choosing the
right leather duffel bag
A leather duffel bag offers substantial advantages over its
nylon equivalent, besides the obvious element of additional
style that leather brings, as a material, to all manner of
goods, from luggage to clothing. Leather also tends to be more
durable than man made fabrics, and can even begin to look better
when it has been scuffed a little bit. In fact, many leather
duffel bag ranges now include models which have that traveled
look at the time of purchase, such is the appeal of a leather
bag which looks like it has been to the desert and back.
For those of you who, on the other hand, want to keep your
leather duffel bag looking as if it had just been cut, there are
a variety of popular protection options for them, ranging from
the occasional rub down with a special kind of wax, to full on
protective spray which feeds, and waterproofs the leather.
Although, you really shouldn’t need to waterproof your, leather
duffel bag, since that should be part of what you look for when
you are making that all-important choice. Besides this, it is
also a good idea to make sure that there are enough pockets for
all the bits and piece of travel documentation that you want to
take with you.
A padlock is also a good idea, with a leather duffel bag as any
other bag which is designed to travel. It will help to protect
against accidental opening of the zipper, and light theft.
