Leather PDA
cases are not just for carriage
A PDA is a specialist piece of equipment. For a start, it is
multifunctional, and one would expect that leather PDA cases
would share in this philosophy of one device, or carrying case,
for every occasion. Sadly, though, not all leather PDA cases are
created equal, and some are just that – a piece of luggage which
can carry your PDA from A to B, without offering any other
additional features at all, which can be a problem.
The first thing to look for when buying from a range of leather
PDA cases is to check that there is a place to hold the stylus.
The stylus being that little piece of plastic which is used to
‘write’ on the screen of the PDA. Not all PDAs have this
feature, but for those that do, a stylus holder in the case is
an absolute must.
Another feature which is dependent on the kind of PDA that the
case is supposed to be carrying and which should be looked for
in a range of leather PDA cases is the ability to allow things
to be connected to the system without needing to remove it from
its case. For example, some PDAs can be docked with a cradle
which is connected to a PC, and an allowance needs to be made
for them in the case so that it can remain inside.
The same goes for the possibility to use the PDA as an MP3
player – here a special hole should exist in whichever of the
leather PDA cases are chosen to allow the headphones to be
connected.
