Choosing a
bag and baggage
Often it is wise to try and match a bag and baggage according to
the kind of traveling that you are doing. For example, putting
all your travel items in a single piece of baggage that is to be
stowed with the other passengers luggage in the hold of the
aircraft, boat, bus or coach, is probably not a good idea and it
will be better to have both a bag and baggage – the bag for the
passenger in the main cabin, and the baggage in the hold.
In fact, many manufacturers now make a kind of combined bag and
baggage which allows part of the suitcase, flight case or
backpack to be detached and carried separately as hand baggage
whilst the main suitcase is carried in the hold. This has the
advantage of being able to take a small amount of items with
you, but will also ensure that you can keep all your luggage
together once you reclaim your main suitcase.
In addition to this, there is also something to be said for just
trying to co-ordinate bag and baggage such that the style that
you are showing off is carried through the suitcase to other
matching bags. Many designer labels can provide you with
handbags, backpacks, wallets and suitcases which all go together
with the same colors, style an insignia and this can look very
smart if done correctly.
Finally bag and baggage stores, online and off will be able to
supply a range of accessories which will make the journey a much
more pleasant experience.
