Practical
aspects of the bowling bag
One might think that a bowling bag was no different from any
other, but there some features which are vital when choosing a
bowling bag that set it apart from any other kind of bag on
offer. This is why it is vital to make sure, when choosing the
bag, that you do not just settle for any other oversized, tough,
all-purpose bag, and hold out for the real deal.
There are two shapes of bag, the first being a kind of flat
ended oval, which is the traditional bowling bag shape, and an
alternative, squarer shape, which resembles a backpack. They
share some things in common, such as the ability to take a great
weight – after all bowling balls are not light – and have
separate areas to store shoes and other bowling accessories in.
More sophisticated sorts of the bowling bag also have the
possibility to detach the ball holder from the main bag, which
you can then leave in a locker, and still protect your fingers
and ball whilst you make your way to your lane.
For children, there are also entire bowling bag ranges which
come adorned with classic and contemporary cartoon stars,
usually caught in dramatic bowling poses.
In professional series, the bowling bag with wheels is king – a
new approach to kit transport, it is the traditional shape, but
with a handle that can be folded out and the entire bag tipped
and wheeled, for easy transport. Truly the easiest way by far to
get from the car park to the lanes!
