Leather
brief case - the popular choice
It’s true. Any executive or aspiring executive, whether they be
male or female in this day and age, likes the look, feel and
general fashion statement that a leather brief case makes. It
picks them out as a serious contender, someone who is important,
or has the drive to be. In fact, a leather brief case is not so
much a statement of style as of power, and we would not have it
any other way.
Of course, this is all conjecture, and the main reason that we
buy a leather brief case is because it looks good, will be
durable, and can carry the things around in it that we want it
to. For it is nothing if it is not practical.
So, when buying a leather brief case we should be careful to be
sure that all our carrying needs are catered for, before any
other choices that are entirely governed by style. One
particularly good sign that a case has been correctly made is
the reinforced corner.
A leather brief case will wear at the edges and corners, where
the covering and the actual wood that makes up the frame is
joined. This is inevitable, but its influence on the looks of
the case can be mitigate so long as there is a double thickness
of leather in these all important areas.
Also important is a way of protecting the base of the leather
brief case, which will also be subject to wear. Metal studs are
the preferred way to do this, and brass ones will tend to look
best.
