The practical
aspects of a yoga bag
As a busy professional walking from work to yoga class, it is
important that your yoga bag allows you to follow your
professional and exercise life as closely as possible. This
means that you want to arrive at your yoga class as stress free
as possible, and the last thing you need to worry about is
whether you can get everything you need into your yoga bag.
This may sound slightly strange, but it is also surprising how
many people do not try to make the aspect of carrying from one
place to another as stress free as possible. The first point is
that your yoga bag should be able to take your yoga mat, if you
have one. This is not as simple as it might sound, since they
have a tendency to unroll as you walk from A to B, which makes
the bag quite difficult to carry, unless it has been designed
for the job.
A typical yoga bag solution is to provide a belt which can be
tied off around the center of the mat, inside the bag to hold it
ion place. This is something you just do not find an a standard
tote, duffel, or burlap bag, each of which could otherwise make
passable alternatives.
There should also be external pockets for things like cell
phones and car keys. After all, if you need to get to them, it
will be in a hurry and so it would be better that access to them
is not restricted. And having them inside the bag might not be
practical for many reasons
