What to look
for in digital camera bags
Carrying a digital camera is, at first sight, a lot less hassle
than carrying a regular one. However, despite the lack of film,
lenses and other paraphernalia there is still a place for
digital camera bags in the general market. This is because they
are becoming more useful for other things, as well as the
camera, in fact when you are looking at digital camera bags it
is also a good idea to bear in mind the other uses that you
might have for them.
For example, you should look for digital camera bags that have
space for a spare battery since most cameras these days burn up
a reasonable amount of power. Should your camera be one which
has a proprietary battery, then you might also want to try and
make sure that the bag of choice has space for the adapter or
charger too.
While digital cameras do not have films, they do have various
types of memory sticks or cards upon which the photos are
records, and it is always a good idea to try and ensure that
whichever of the digital camera bags you choose, there is space
for you to store as many memory cards as you might need. Since
these come in a variety of different formats, it can also be a
good idea to make sure that the size you have is supported by
the bag configuration.
Finally, look for digital camera bags which protect the back of
the camera, where the little screen is located, as this is very
sensitive to being scratched whilst the bag is rubbing against
your body as you walk.
